German developer and service provider BayWa has acquired German asset management firm Kaiserwetter’s internet of things (IoT), asset intelligence and data science capabilities.
The transaction includes Kaiserwetter’s Aristoteles and Iris software platforms, alongside its entire software development and data science teams in Hamburg.
Kaiserwetter’s cloud-based internet of things and artificial platform (Aristoteles) can maximise the performance of renewable energy investment portfolios, BayWa claimed.
Meanwhile, its Iris platform uses smart data analytics to deliver detailed insights and reports for due diligence, asset performance and identification of an investment’s growth potential.
BayWa’s global director of services Tobias Bittkau said that the deal would “enable efficiency, transparency and value for asset owners and managers globally”.
